#387 False Assumptions For Shop Owners

Most new auto shop owners are soon disappointed by the many problems in every area of managing an auto repair shop. They expected a few, but not this many! But what they anticipated was something that does not exist. The nature of running a shop is a series of problems. That does not mean you should not do all you can to minimize them, but it does mean that you should expect them. Maybe a 30-minute time slot on your daily calendar for solving problems. Plan for them. Then you won’t be so disappointed when they occur, and you’ll be pretty happy when few or none occur for a few days!
