If I had to do it again I would polish and clear seal the concrete, done right it looks great.

Depends, if the belt is free and clear when replacing the alternator maybe not. But some vehicles you can replace the alternator and the belt is trapped by motor mounts or additional belts or maybe just a SOB to get to, then we charge accordingly .
-
We charge about $ 40 , includes dismount , repair, and re balance. We do sell a lot of new tires and TPMS sensors on these repairs. We do not do rope type repairs, only inside plug/patch.

Drop light reels that I have provided get beat up in a hurry, Techs supply their own lights now. -

MemberDecember 27, 2016 at 9:31 pm in reply to: What Does it Cost an Auto Repair Shop to do an Oil Change?I have to agree with Tom, we try to cover our base cost and keep it low enough to not scare away our good customers. Many customers believe that a oil change twice a year will keep their car going, I want to be able to get them into the shop, check out the vehicle and educate them on proper maintenance. Our oil changes average between $ 40 for conventional oil to $ 120 for a 9 + Quart synthetic.
-
Every car is driven or used differently and the schedule needs to be adjusted accordingly . The manufacturers are stretching the service intervals to show the average cost of maintenance is lower. I have seen dealers that push transmission and differential fluids every 15000 miles but the actual schedule is around 100 k . Check the vehicle see how it is used, check the fluid condition and sell accordingly.

I think that Hunter makes the best machines out there,I bought a used TC3500 and few years back and we have been getting great service out of it.

I would recognize the instructors names before what company they work for. I do not have any experience with coaching companies because there is such a wealth of information and instruction available in the industry that does not require a costly long term contract.

MemberAugust 20, 2012 at 8:28 pm in reply to: ACDelco Warranty Coverage – You won’t believe this one.Being a Delco PSC shop its good to hear this kind of response from Delco, I think that the parts supplier must have sold it to the original shop as a Delco part, Why else would Delco stand behind it ?
I do know they have expanded thier warranty coverage lately to the PSC/TSS shops.

MemberDecember 27, 2011 at 11:56 pm in reply to: Survey – Internet Marketing vs. TraditionalWhat are you doing on the internet besides your website?
-
I agree that the site should be up and running long ago, I chose this web site developer on the recommendation from others on this network.
I can understand that I am responsible to provide input to develop the site , but I hired this firm because I do not have any idea how to put together a web site, I thought they could do it for me,But 11 months and nothing yet.
And I do not hear anything from them unless I email to ask for a progress report. Jan 2012 is my deadline for cutting the $$ cord
-
I am hoping to have the site up and running soon, I am working with a highly recomended company, but I was surprised at the time and also the amount of work on my part.
Writing has never been my strong point, and for me to have to write text for my website is very hard. That is why I hired a professional, but 10 months now and still not up and running.

today $ 179.95 for 30 LBs

We get paid .68 cents per gallon, no one using waste oil for heat here in Florida
-
Thank you for your response, I have contracted with a company and been paying monthly charges since Feb 2011, 10 months, and still not a web site. I just wanted to know the average set up time and monthly cost that most shops pay. Hopefully it will be up and running by the end of Nov.
-
We have been about the same, two weeks steady business and then 2-3 weeks of very slow business. This has been going on here for about 4-5 months now.
-
I should add that I expect that number to grow in the near future.
Warehouses, parts suppliers are cutting back on stock to survive the economic conditions.
-
about 15-20 % are not available same day locally.
