    What percent (about) of the parts that you purchase do you get from “out of town” (shipped in overnight as opposed to parts that are delivered to you from a local store or warehouse or dealer)?

    70%, includes stuff the local store has to get because they don’t stock it. It’s not that we work on ‘unique’ stuff, we are in a rural area.

    <5%. We may have to wait overnight if our main warehouse doesn’t have the part and they have to get it from one of their other locations.

    about 15-20 % are not available same day locally.

    I should add that I expect that number to grow in the near future.

    Warehouses, parts suppliers are cutting back on stock to survive the economic conditions.
