Put two monthly reminders in your calendar right now.
10th of each month: Increase parts matrix by 1%
25th of each month: Increase labor rate by $2
Don’t mention it to the employees unless they ask.
Somewhere down the road, your GP% will be fixed.
It’s just like football. Most plays are not touchdowns. The idea is to move the ball a little at a time. If you do that, you will score eventually.
Adjust the amounts higher if you like.

Those are great tips. Get high-quality sales training for your staff. Most GP problems are created on the counter.

This strategy works. You can play with the numbers so they meet your needs and goals. I’ve seen some shops increase at a faster rate with absolutely no pushback.
