Tom, I think you handled it very well. Great comments from your peers as well. The best way to bury that occasional bad reveiw is to solicit reviews from every customer. The good will push the bad to the bottom of the list. The reviews we solicit at CustomerLink for our clients are reported back to your landing place page and “certified by CustomerLink” as being legitiment reviews from actual customers who completed a service. The “Certified” reviews are very important to Google, Bing, Yahoo and others. Even if they check “Anomymous” you’ll be able to see their name, address, phone number, email address, their segment profile, and a map of where they live, how much they spend and how frequently they visit your shop. Even a less that 5 star rated review can be turned into a positive, if you know who sent it.

    Hi Ashley,

I applaud you for getting email addresses. Most shops don’t.

As you are a CustomerLink customer, you know we capture email addresses from Mitchell. So instead of you transferring the list to another program like ACT and then creating your email notices and sending them out. We already do all that. And when we send out the Thank Yous, Factory service interval reminders, LOF reminders, Technician Recommendations, Haven’t seen you lost customer recovery, etc. etc. direct mail, we also send a companion email for FREE. We also send out an email “request for review” after every service. Then you (we) can post those reviews on-line and to your Facebook page we create. We also have a way to find more verified email addresses to add to your database for only $25 for every 100 new matches.

Oh, I like your website but you should think about putting some coupon offers. You can do that yourself, ask for some help if you don’t remember how. It’s easy with our pre-designed color artwork.

I also like your Google share site we created. You’ve already got lots of reviews. You might consider having some special promos there too. You can easilly add them

Let me know if you need some help.

Ollie, I just looked at your on-line review page. Wow, you’ve already got 143 CustomerLink Certified reviews. Way to go.

Hi, make sure you let us know when/if you change shop management systems. If it’s of any value, we can export your database back to you in a file you can give to your new sms vendor, no charge. Of course it won’t have all the specific vehicle history but at least all the year, make, model, name, address, etc. is available as a back up. By the way, you already have 49 pending on-line reviews for you to post to your internet landing place page, facebook, etc. Lot’s of 5 stars, good job.

Hi Ollie, it might be easier to open your CustomerLink weblink dashboard, click Database Management, click Export and an Excel spreadsheet will open with all your active customers, or inactive or all if you want. Then sort by the email address column. Then export that to your email sending program.

Or have your account manager do it for you. Our email reminders are very colorful with your logo, etc. and you can customize them with various offers if you want. If you need more email addresses for your customers we can “append” them to your records for only $25 per 100 email matches. Or we’ll do a one time free “append” for your entire database when you sign up for our Smrt 2.0 online reviews, landing “place” page, Facebook, Twitter, social media, CSI, on-line reputation management package.

    Hi Tom,

Did’t know if you’re asking this question to create a discussion or to use in your own shop. As a CustomerLink customer, we capture your email addresses from Mitchell and most of 200 other systems. We show you have over 300 email addresses from “active” customers. For free, we send an email when we send out a mailer for any reason, Thank Yous, Factory Scheduled Maintenance, Technician Rec., Haven’t Seen You, Seasonal Specials, Moving Notices, etc. There’s no extra charge for the emails and they go out daily just like the post cards and will have the market segmentation graphics.

And if you open your CustomerLink WebLink page you can download to Excel your customer list and it will show all the email addresses if you want to do your own email blast.

    Hope this helps.
