We researched a few different electronic inspection programs about a year ago when I was looking to take my shop that way. Auto vitals was one of them. I demo their product and while it was good it was just to much. My service advisor would be creating the ticket in one system and then updating Auto vitals about 6-8 time on the same vehicle depending on where it was during the course of the day. To much B.S. not to mention the price. We settled on an e-inspection program that is just that. We have fully customized inspections that my techs perform, it keeps records, takes pictures of issues, as well as provides reports as to techs performance on his reporting. It’s called Repair Shop Solutions and is very reasonably priced as well. Good luck but I must say it has made us look so much more professional in our operation.

    Hello,

We currently have a preferred vendor program set up with 2 local larger area businesses. Each one comprising of approx. 250 employees. We have been doing it for about 2 months now and it has been an amazing success at this point. We offer 10% off any service or repair. Free pick up and delivery, Free loaner vehicles for extended service needs. I had plastic credit card size cards made up with the company name on it and it’s their VIP card. All they do is show it and save. We even open it up to family members. All VIP cards and an introductory card to go with it detailing the program to the employees was less than $300 made. My first month ROI was over $8000.00! It has been a great program and the employees appreciate it very much not just from us but from their employer. That’s how I presented it to the companies higher ups. It will make them look good. We are also trying specials just for them. Like right now we have a oversized postcard that is getting handed out with their paychecks this week that gives them 5 different specials just for employees of the company for back to school. The cost vs. ROI is always way better than traditional marketing plus you their full attention and no other repair shop is going to be doing the same thing. If you treat them good and build good relationships if another shop thought about doing it as well, the business already has someone…you! Good luck with it.

I second what Chip said. I too was a Cinron member when I met Dan at one of Cinrons seminars. The thing that made me like Dan was he was down to earth about everything and didn’t play up to being the greatest. I have been an active member with Dan Cricks since 2004 and have learned so much to turn my shop around that it makes other shops in my area’s head spin. We to are a small town shop but we have been here for 37 years. The response that we get to the type of marketing we are doing blows even me away. Not so much even the money aspect but the notaritary. I have clients calling me even if they dont need service but they got one of our mailings and they just had to call. It has been a great program and yes I also agree with Chip as to get involved with Dan Kennedy, I have been a memeber of his coaching program for at least the same amount of time and have read all the books he wrote. Very worth it, it will open your eyes to a whole new world and mindset about the business, economy, world and everything around. Good luck
