We are looking at revamping our employee benefits package. Things we
are discussing: paid time off vs vacation & sick days. Which
holidays to close (we are now closed & paid) on Christmas, New
years, Thanksgiving, July 4th, Memorial Day & Labor day. Uniforms,
no health insurance at this time. Techs are hourly with productivity
    incentives.

Possible adds-1 service day paid (for volunteer time in the community)

A possible contribution towards health benefits (maybe performance based?)

I thought that this would be an interesting discussion. I look forward to expanding this even more with your thoughts, ideas, and examples.

How are you differentiating between vacation, paid time off and/or sick days?

Which holidays would you add or delete?
What options are you considering with uniforms?
How would the performance based health benefits work?
Just trying to get a better handle on what you are thinking.

    Good questions Tom.

A paid day off (except for holidays) would be considered a paid day off, regardless of weather it is a sick day, vacation day.

No change to the holidays at this point.

Uniforms are  paid for by the shop.

We are still discussing the performance based health benefits. No real idea yet what we would do.

Good question Andy. I’d be interested in hearing what other people think also. We have been wanting to expand our benefits package. Thus far we have almost the same thing as you Andy. Those Holidays you listed paid, uniforms paid by shop, training paid by shop also- including sema. We were considering adding a 401k or do a profit sharing but that is still being researched
