  • Avg time to build a quote over the phone is about 15 minutes, If we do that twice a day. That’s 2 1/2 Hours a week.

I find in most cases, If I’m not the “Cheapest” they won’t schedule with me anyway! Even when we take the time to build the value. And all the steps we take to be sure the job is properly.

Lastly, Many times they are guessing what needs to be done, Because their neighbor is a “Mechanic”. Plus to many times one of the parts stores reads a code, Says it’s a 02 sensor, And when we do the testing it’s a Catalytic Converter.

vehicles built today are to complicated to shoot from the hip.

Mitchell is the 800Lb Gorilla in the room. They are one of the easiest to learn, Pro Demand is better than Identifx, or Alldata. Is constantly improving, And there training is second to none. If you go to a training class put on by Mitchell. You will always want to go.. First class, And the Trainers are top notch.

  • The BoltOn system uses 10″ Android type tablets and
offers wireless connection to our network. Via the network it connects to an
office computer connected to our LOF label machine, allowing techs to print
directly from the shop PC or the handheld devices with data gathered from the
inspection for LOF’s. Also when you look at the tablet, it’s a mirror on Mitchell.
You can access repair info, torque Specs, TSB’s. They constantly update and improve the system. The fact that thru there system, I can send recommendation Via text in the future is the deal breaker for me..
