I’ll second the lincoln reels 4-5 years on it. Flexzilla hoses are the best ive found but the biggest enemy of hoses is whos using them while the torch is spraying at it on the floor or dropping rotors on them… you get the idea.

Lights are the biggest issue for me as well lately ive been using a petzl headlight setup with rechargeable batterys wherever you look theres light I love it but could still use a good drop light

Agree with the Bluetooth I got a few of them and finally settled on the kind that go around the neck with the ear buds every other one I tried whoever I talked to complained they couldn’t hear me.  Phones have a way of sucking time out of your day.

I just signed up for real-time the other day seems like a pretty good judge of how long it takes to do jobs so far.

Ive been full time for 5 years and when I first started I was always worried about the price resistance and like you say it is in our own heads, most people just want there car fixed and wont question my price(except the car dealers).  I just had to get it through my head that if the customers don’t pay me to do it, they’ll pay the next guy.

Whats the ball park cost a month to have a loaner? I would imagine the insurance could be pricey being that any one and every one will be driving it.

I dont like alldata manage. It is a whole lot of clicking to the next screen over and over again. Basically I think they over complicated it and made it to time consuming. I have had it for 6 months now and will not be renewing. Once your info is in there it does give you some nice reports on about anything you can think of from tech efficiency to profits on specific parts.

Well I talked to him and I worked it so all of my cost parts and engine shop wise are covered and I ate the labor. He was very happy with that and I still get an engine job out of it. So all in all Im not out much, still got a good customer.

Leak down shows bubbles in radiator when applied to cyl 1. So its definitely head gasket symptoms but must be a crack in the block or something.

Are they always trying to beat you up on your prices?
