  • When You First Started Out as a Shop Owner…I have a few questions

Did you take over a running shop?

Or, did you get into a vacant building and open a shop?

    Or, did you build new?

If you had to do it over again now, would you make the same choice or one of the other options?

Tom, it depends. I purchased a vacant building with close to an acre of land 13 years ago. It is along a very busy highway and convenient to get to even though it is about 2 miles from town. I have never looked back and regretted doing that.

On the other hand, IF it would be necessary to make the decision now for some reason, I’d look hard at the feasibility of building new to get a more efficient shop layout and a little more room. It is not enough of a reason for considering that in the foreseeable future though.
