  • Wheel Alignment Mandatory with Steering Parts (Free Premium Content Sample)

We usually add a wheel alignment to an estimate when replacing most
steering parts. However, when we know that replacing a particular steering
part does not affect the alignment, we sometimes have not added a wheel
    alignment to the estimate.

While that may make sense from a technical perspective, it may strike
customers as odd because wheel alignments are generally customarily
    associated with steering.

Our policy is to make it mandatory to add a wheel alignment anytime we
    replace a steering system part.

Performing wheel alignments in these situations is one more thing that we
can do to reduce rechecks and make customers happier overall. Also,
checking the alignment when working on the steering system is generally a
good idea as most cars often do not get the alignment checked as often as
    they should.

Adding a wheel alignment to every estimate when replacing steering parts is a good policy. It ensures thorough service, reduces the need for rechecks, and increases customer satisfaction. Even if the replacement doesn’t technically require alignment, customers expect it, and it’s a beneficial check for overall vehicle maintenance.
