I would like to get a bio metric time clock, all the ones I have found

have a monthly fee. I try to avoid monthly fees where ever possible.

Any info on clocks with a straight up purchase would be great, if there

    even any!

I am not a fan of monthly fees, but i recently went with time clocks

using the uAttend system. They are internet based, so i can view all the

data over the internet, from anywhere in the world. For the $20 per

month, it is one of the best things i ever did. It probably just depends

on how many employees you have, and how much time you spend on it now.

    Joe,

Are you using the time clock for tracking the time your employees are at

your business or are you using it to track their time during the day?

    Thanks!

uattend is the system I was looking at, I like that at least there is no

contracts and its month to month. I will try it and can always cancel.

You might want to take a look at Motive Power 3.5, shop management software.  Motive Power is designed for independent mechanical repair shops and has built-in time clock for each tech.  You can just click on and off a job to record your time.  You can purchase the software with no monthly fees and us it for as long as you like.  Motive Power runs on Microsoft SQL server 2008 which is supported by MS until 2019. More about Motive Power at cohenconsulting1.com.

We use Omnique Shop Management Software and it has a built in time clock that records both daily clock in and out as well as in and out on each job.
