100% of the labor estimates are done using MOD as a guidline and a labor matrix is then applied. parts are ordered ahead of the car (we have already inspected and estimated the work) allowing the tech to work through the day rather than wait for parts. all this combined allows a tech to easily produce 10 hours in an eight hour day.

We have 10 techs. They do not all produce at the same level as there are different skill levels.

Our pay system is set up to pay maximum at 45hours per week. Any week we have the work the number is hit. Nobody wants to leave money on the table.

As was stated earlier, each tech has different skills and ability. so the “average” for my shop is 45.

we have 2 guys who do 50 all the time 2 that do in the 40’s
