They say you have to ease up on the no drugs thing. Everyone uses. The problem is that none of my customers want someone buzzed installing their wheels (most potheads partake during lunch, we all know that). Existing employees prefer fully coherent coworkers. So, no. Zero tolerance drugs policy. As things deteriorate, I might even use this in our marketing. “If you don’t want your car fixed by someone who is high, come see us.”

The medical weed is simply a cover. There is no reason any Technician can be high at work. I have run fixed operations for 50 years. I do not want ANY technician high at work….Period! The question remains how do I test my employee for weed? I mean before work or during work. If he is high then he goes home till a new test passes. 3 Failed tests and you’re out! 🙂

I haven’t tested up until now, but I’m thinking of implementing it. I’m thinking of testing prior to hiring and whenever there’s some sort of incident. We’re responsible for people’s safety.
