  • Alldata Manage Elite Shop Management System- Is it time to move on?

Posted by blvdauto on February 16, 2015 at 1:29 pm

I’ve been using Alldata Elite for 12 years.

I’ve been reluctant to switch because of the shop jobs I’ve created into the system, not to mention the large customer history I have in it.

Anyway, I want to cut the cord for the following reasons:

    1) No improvements into the features part of the program. They don’t seem to care about making it a better or robust product. Year after year, nothing changes about the Alldata management elite program. They don’t even announce what changes are coming up in Elite, so it makes you believe they have no interest at all in keeping their old customers happy.

    2) Its not really European specific. Were a European/Benz shop and Alldata doesn’t really cater to niche specific car brands. Its more generic than anything else.

    3) No support on how to become more profitable shop, with your management program. It would be cool to have a profit making management seminar surrounding the management system you use. I know Pifpro does these type of seminars for their software management customers.

    4) I’m paying for something/subscription I’ll never get to own. But everything out there is made the same way. What’s my alternative?

    5) No customer text alerts, no photo uploading on to the invoices.

    6) Alldata Repair info updates, sometimes lead to system malfunctions.

I could go on and on, but I’m worried the grass is not greener anywhere else.

Are there any management systems I can buy outright? that don’t require monthly subscription fees?

Thank for your suggestions in advance!!!

Feeling unhappy, used, and neglected in this very one sided Alldata management system marriage, (and frankly, its time for a divorce),

    Sincerely,

    Nelson Vargues

I highly recommend YES Management, by Pace Computer – I’ve used them for about five years (I own the program and pay small monthly support fee and I love the fact employees can call themdirectly, it’s worth every dime. http://pacecomputer.com/

Motive power is a good program, I did not use them because I needed more inventory control than they offered at the time http://motivepower.com/

I USUALLY DON’T WRITE COMMENTS BUT, IN THE LAST 3 YEARS I WENT THREW A BUNCH OF PROGRAMS. SOME I  PURCHASED SOME I LEASED. I DON’T WANT TO MENTION THEM IN PUBLIC BUT IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN CONTACT ME. BYRON 404-254-2550. ANYWAY I NOW AM USING MAXX TRAXX BY SCOTTSYSTEMS. http://WWW.SCOTTSYSTEMS.COM THEY HAVE A VERY SMALL DOWN PAYMENT & THE MONTHLY FEE IS JUST AS CHEAP IF YOU HAD PURCHASED A PROGRAM & WAS PAYING FOR TECH SUPPORT. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN ACCOUNTING SYSTEM OR YOU CAN DOWNLOWD TO QUICK BOOKS. TECH SUPPORT IS GOOD. GO TO THERE SITE & JUST CHECK OUT THEIR TRAINING VIDEO SECTION, NO BODY HAS AS MANY INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO’S. THEY ALSO HAVE TRAINING WEBINARS. IN THE SHORT PERIOD I’VE USED THEM IT’S REALLY HELP ME IMPROVE MY BUSINESS. THEY’LL LET YOU USE A LIVE DEMO PROGRAM. IF YOU WERE TO USE THEM & DIDN’T LIKE THEM YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR INFO, NOT SOME OF THE OTHER PROGRAMS. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM, THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING.
