  A/C Maintenance – Evacuate and Charge?

  I heard recently (not the first time) of shops recommending and selling evacuation and recharging air conditioning every two years (or similar) as a preventive maintenance service, even though it is working properly. Does your shop offer this? What is the explanation for why it is recommended? Thanks!
