California still leads the nation in mediocrity. Excess taxes, fees and permits abound.  We pay $900 per just for our “health” permit. In any case, labor rates will go over $200 buy yes end.

Would like to add, You’ll need someone to properly set ISTA up on a lap top. This can be challenging. We use “Euro Car Logic, INC. Contact Ami @ 561 247 1589. He and his company actually work close with BMW to properly and legally, set ISTA up on your lap top.

ISTA like any technology, has a learning curve. BMW is also constantly adding, changing ISTA. Ami is up on all the changes and keeps your system running so we can make $$ using this equipment.

Euro Car Logic, Inc ask for Ami, 516 247 1589

I checked the site, both BMW/MBZ systems are clones, stay away. Both BMW/MBZ are actively restricting clone units that attempt to connect to their sites. We purchased directly from BMW for the ICOM (includes head unit, MOST adaptor, yellow long CAT5 cable. This was around 4-5 K. The Mercedes system comprises two systems, one is around 13k, the other 20k.

We signed up for the complete series some years back. It was an eye opener for sure. You need to get passed the whole “Scientology” thing. It is based on that to some degree.

I did learn alot about human nature, selling techniques and better management of our business. It’s just so darn expensive.

You could probably do better by contacting or joining ASA or some kind of local mentor or business management company.

Not sure what law’s you need to be carefull off but out here in California, agahh We recently moved and everybody came out of the woodwork with their hand open to charge us. We had to install special low energy ligthing (green and cost more), different oil cantainment, catch basin charcoal thingy for our air compressor air/water drain ($800.00) Can you believe this state? Our city engineer wanted detailed instructions for our above ground lifts. And required an engineer to install @ $4500.00 just for his expertise. We got around a lot of this by contacting the right people @ city hall and the state and county EPA. Still, it was an eye opener
