Hello all. I recently relocated from Los Angeles, CA to Manila,
Philippines to manage an enthusiast-owned and operated shop specializing
in European Cars (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc). Currently, the processes
used for running the shop are very bare bones or spartan to say the
least and definitely NOT efficient. My plan is to streamline the whole
customer experience and process to increase efficiency and productivity
and I am looking for a shop management software to help support that.
Problem is, being in the Philippines using a system that has a databese
server that is housed back in the US could cause issues with system
speed, etc. since internet connection speeds here aren’t as fast as
those back in the US. Or, rather…the faster internet connections are
available…just very cost prohibitive.
Anyway, I’m hoping to get some suggestions on management software
systems that don’t require a server database…where the information can
be housed in house on our own computer and can work in the context of a
foreign county like the Philippines. Also, ideally we’d like to find a
system that is comprehensive and covers all facets of running and
managing the shop but is also cost effective. Even the possibility of
starting off with a base program that can have additional features or
functions added at a later date as need and $$$ allow, would be
ideal…at least from a cost perspective. Are any of the shop management
solutions out there that fit this bill? Comments and suggestions are
definitely welcomed. Thanks!

We are currently using http://autoshopoffice.ph
Its an online software. And its philippine based company. We’ve been using it for 2 years now. The technical support speaks in English and Filipino.
