Give Keys to your Shop to the Government – New Law (seriously)
Many local governments are making recent fire code changes the law.
This includes giving keys and/or security codes for your shop to them so they can “protect you better in an emergency” (although I did find excerpts from a township meeting in another part of the country where the fire chief said he may be using his new found access for routine inspections).It’s not optional. Give us the keys or else.I’m sure that the local township computers (which will store my security codes) are 100% hack proof, and that everyone with access to the codes is pure is the driven snow.Maybe it’s just me….but I would feel “better protected” if they did not get them. -
