When a promised completion time is nearing or when time for a customer update is closing in, pop-ups remind the advisor to handle them. After the contact has been handled the pop-ups can then be deleted or edited to appear again later in the day. Service advisors have a lot of information already swirling in their heads without having to remember things like this which the software can handle.
