Implementing the strategies of 5s within an auto shop can be a

daunting task, but the added rewards and benefits at the end will

defiantly be well worth the effort.

Many auto shops have excessive amounts of materials, goods and tools

that are either not needed or just plain out dated and not in use any

longer. These unneeded materials often handicap often difficult

organization or work efficiency to take place. In order to rectify

this problem, the implementation of a 5S program within an auto body

shop will not only improve productivity but also overall organization

    and even quality of business.

If you find yourself wasting valuable work time digging around in

multiple bins looking for needed tools, a foam tool organizer can be

the right answer for you. A foam tool organizer can actually be easily

customized to fit any sort of tool that is used on a regular basis,

all you must do is simply trace the tools that you would like in the

organizer, cut the foam and peel the back off and stick the foam

inside either a tool box or drawer. It really is that easy!

Does anyone here have any recommendations to make regarding auto shop

organization? If so, please post! Let’s help make our auto shops more

    efficient and effective!
