Per what I have seen, there ‘s a major difference between those offering simply advice and those actually getting you to a point where you are able to put it into effect in your shop.  Management Success has a phenomenal record of success in the 2nd.  Not everyone who does 1 is also capable of doing 2.

I have in the past trained many shop owners on accounting.  I understand Larry’s point of view, but I tend to side with JeffreyD and Jmazur.  If you just need to write tickets, fine, but if you want to actually use the software as a tool to see and increase your profits, then you want a good management software.  As an example, most good software out there will allow you to see your gross profit at a glance.  You can’t do that with QuickBooks.  For most shop owners I have dealt with, the key deciding factor is if a software is only costing you money or making you money.

Yeah, I have seen a huge number of shops really doing well after going through Management Success’es program.  If one follows the program and implements it, it can really turns things around.

EasyRO is a great program.  With a lease option you can get it at a very low monthly cost.  You can download a demo version here: http://easyworks.com/download-demo-version/.  I guess the key on any shop management software is if they will make you money or cost you money.  If something costs $30 per month is worth less than a program that costs you $100 per month and making you $200 per month.  But you can’t make that decision until you actually get a demonstration.

Hi Relian, Greg is correct: QuickBooks is an accounting program, but won’t actually handle all the management needs of an automotive repair shop.  One of the easiest to use, while at the same time very complete is EasyRO.  You download a demo version at http://easyworks.com/download-demo-version/.  It’s not for collision, only auto repair, truck repair and transmission shops.
