  1. Even with the multiplier my guys have a difficult time hitting 40 hours. It’s not because they’re not talented I’m sure it has something to do with taking the diag and turning it into a repair. And it may be we are priced too high and I’m not selling enough repairs because of the labor rate.

  2. Condition of vehicle and age effect the multiplier at my shop, there is not 1 fixed set multiplier across the board. The old days where you looked labor times up in a book, in the first few pages it explained that based on age that the book time is to be multiplied by a multiplier, as the vehicle will have more dirt, rust, and other factors that add time to the repair. Most forgot or never knew this.
