I’m curious how this will affect front office people. My service advisors make over $47,476 however they tend to work more hours a week than everyone else as well.

Also if we continue to pay our people based on flag hours or a tiered system, do we have to change on a weekly basis what their “hourly” pay is to fit within the math of the new regulations? What would we have to do to document the weekly or bi-weekly change in their hourly wage? Would that be legal? is it “cheating” in the eyes of the DOL?

+1 on the ratchet and wrench conference. I felt that was a very worthwhile event and was really well run. For their first time I was surprised at the level of precision they had in running the conference. Lots of time to network and a lot of high quality attendees. As far as I could tell there were not that many struggling shops, lots of top shops and it was really nice speaking with them and vendors.

Agreed. I am purchasing a new building for a second shop and I am looking into solutions.

In regards to paint, any recommendations?
Any experience with “epoxy paint” products?

I see RepairPal being very detrimental to the industry. Any type of service that puts constraints on what we should be charging is a huge negative in my eyes.

Doesnt hunter use cameras also??  I believe so.  Most do now.

I have had the John Beam one for ten yrs now…..just now needing some work.

The hunter hawkeye elite uses targets on the wheels. Atlas and bosch along with the less expensive aligners use cameras at every wheel.

Hunter is hands down the only choice i would go with. It is fast, efficent and will increase your productivity. I have used camera systems in the past and they are much more cumbersome and take longer to set up and break down.
