I’m just as busy as the shop across the street.
For a town with 20+% unemployment not as bad as some.
Our biggest customer last month was Welfare helping fix cars.
Probably so people could leave the state.
Just normal for Michigan.

I agree with Charlie. I’m a shop owner and I’ve hired young fellows with out training as a helper. It’s a good way to find out if you really want to do this. Then check out community college programs.

We use our shop laser printer. I had to make a carrier card that we slip blank cling labels into and feed thru regular printer. We made a template in Word with our logo and phone, then for each car we just type in date, oil, mileage. The card carrier wears out in a couple months and I make a new one. I have been through Managment Sucess but I chose to DROP OUT. I found the constant pressure of their scientology beliefs to be incompatible with my value system. I have found many of their ideas useful. But the high pressure sales they use don’t fit my small town attitude.
