Feature #6 – Electronic Signature Capture – Shop Management Software

We have been using this feature in our shop through the BoltOn Welcoming Kiosk.  We have the customer sign in, tells us what services they need and at the end they sign their name.  The signature is carried into the invoice which we print one copy for the customer and the other stays in the systems saving time, paper, ink and any lost invoices.  It is a great feature!!  Juan

We just signed on with Charge-It Pro a credit card processor.. and it had signature capture so we interfaced to that… that way it stores the signature in the payment record. Right now though you would have to have our CC processor to use it. As we find out how many people actually want it, we may add it as an independent feature.. but so far no real demand from our clients.

FastTrak Auto Shop Manager supports signature capture for estimates and invoices using either a signature pad, smart phone or tablet. All are part of FastTrak – not third party add ons. When the signature is captured it’s stored electronically, a pdf copy of the document with the signature is created and stored in FastTrak for easy recall and a copy is automatically emailed to the customer

It’s indeed a great substitution for traditional paper and ink signatures which obviously belong in the past. By switching to e-signature, you save money and time for both parties. We switched to e-signature software a year ago and so far it works great. Our customers don’t have to come by or send signed documents via post. It allowed us to speed up all of the business processes we conduct. The software provider we work with is Webxloo.

The software system I recommend is ShopController, as they offer the Signature Capture feature
